Every place checked in November 2026
Fort Route's map holds 53,582 places for truck drivers: truck stops, truck parking, rest areas, weigh stations, CAT scales, truck services, washes, dealers, Walmart stores, and hotels and motels within about half a mile of an interstate exit. In November 2026, each one was checked against current sources. Closed places were removed and rebranded ones renamed. Places that passed show Checked on their place sheet.
The data comes from OpenStreetMap, the location lists that truck stop chains publish, Overture Maps business listings and the USDOT's truck parking survey. Fort Route doesn't copy other map apps' place databases, because their terms forbid it. The full list is on data sources.
Amenities labeled by where they came from
Every amenity carries a label that tells you how far to trust it:
- Yes means the location's own data lists it.
- Usually means it's that brand's standard offer. Fort Route never shows it as confirmed.
- You confirmed means you reported it yourself.
Safety details, such as whether a lot is lit, appear only when a driver confirmed them or the map data tags the lighting. They're never assumed. Hotels near exits show truck parking as unconfirmed until a driver confirms it.
Find parking on your route
The map's home sheet has tiles for Truck stops, Parking and Rest areas. More opens 23 further categories, including truck stop chains, truck services, stay and shop, and dealers.
With a route loaded, the Stops along route list covers places within 1 mile of either side of the road. Each entry shows the mile marker, the time away and amenities such as showers, diesel lanes, DEF, truck spaces and 24-hour service. Rest areas carry their official truck space count from the USDOT's Jason's Law truck parking survey.
Report what you find when you pull in (plenty, some or full), and the report stays up for 12 hours. During the beta, reports are stored on your phone and aren't shared with other drivers yet. Sharing reports between drivers is planned.
What Fort Route doesn't do
Fort Route has no live parking sensors and doesn't predict how full a lot will be. An official space count tells you capacity, not how many spots are open tonight. On toll roads, the 1-mile corridor can list stops near the highway that you can only reach by leaving at an exit.
Rest areas have their own page at rest areas, and scales are covered in weigh stations and scales. For parking tips that work with any app, read how to find truck parking.
